NOLTE? BLOG

Nolte?, the real king of queens.

September 2nd, 2010

Thats right, Nolte? is reppin’ Queens hard today.  Nolte? is now available at this dope new spot in Astoria called Belief. Check out one of the owners rocking a classic Nolte? design:

But thats not it! Not only does Astoria have a tight new skate shop, and not only do all y’all queens residents have a new spot for Nolte? gear, but these dudes clued me in on a new skate plaza going up right underneath the Triboro bridge, in Astoria park.  And being that it was only a couple blocks from the shop, I shot over there and checked it out.  Now it wasn’t open yet, but it will be real soon and if you can’t wait, get creative I’m sure you’ll find a way in. So hop on the N, and shoot over to Astoria and show these dudes some love, pick up some Noltebrand ish, and go for a push. Oh shit, and they’re only a couple blocks from the Bohemian Hall, Beer Garden, so you can show your koozie some love too. In the meantime, fiend on these:

Queens Baby!

Famous Last Klapak

August 16th, 2010

Check out our own Eddie Klapak in the trailer for “Famous Last Words.” This flick has been delayed forever, lets hope these dudes get off their asses and put it out already.

We’re back up on the Rad Collector! You can check out the coverage here. All you Noltemaniacs, lift your koozies in appreciation for the whole crew over at Rad Collector for helping us run wild across the interweb.  While I’ve got you’re attention… A quick update:  We are sold out of boards here at the HQ! These things are popular. And while we’re waiting for our next shipment to arrive, you can still swing by any of our Nolte? stockists, and pick one up.  In fact we just today we added our first dealer out on the Island, Bunger.  So go get yourself a deck, and stay tuned, there’s a lot more to come.

Team Nolte?

August 8th, 2010

In 1972 a drunken commando unit was sent to prison by a military court for a crime they didn’t commit. These men promptly escaped from a maximum security stockade to the New York underground. Today, still wanted by the government, they survive as soldiers of Nolte? If you have a problem, if no one else can help, and if you can find them, maybe you can hire the Nolteam?

Dealer Update

August 8th, 2010

The Nolt is growing! Just wanted to drop a quick nugget of info. Just updated our ever-growing dealers list. We’re in at Classic Skate shop in Bayonne, NJ, Small Empire Skatepark in Flanders, NJ, and our very first surf shop, Saturdays Surf in NYC.   Thanks to all of our awesome dealers for the support! Shaka Bra!

That’s right people we’ve got decks. And the decks have koozies. These gems won’t be available online for a while, so head over to your local shop and pick one up there.

The team announcement is just around the corner. On top of that we’re looking to drop some decks in the next couple weeks, so stay tuned…

Help make NYC greasier

June 3rd, 2010

This is a bit off topic, but super important none the less.  Somebody is trying to get funding to run a Grease Bus out of NYC.  Basically it’s a cheap, eco-friendly ride to the mountain. If you want some info about the program already running in the northwest, click here. The Angry Snowboarder already wrote about it over at his site so check that out here. And finally make sure you go and vote to get these guys funding by clicking this link right here.

zAK

June 3rd, 2010

Last night our friend  and longtime Nolte? supporter Zak Kaercher, of zAKs Boardroom in Anchorage, passed away.  It’s a tragedy. I’m still in a state of shock and disbelief.  My thoughts are with his family and friends.  I met him when we were coworkers at a dingy basement shop in NYC.  To see what he was able to do in few short years was nothing short of spectacular.  His store is not only a beautiful establishment, but by all accounts is deeply ingrained in, and involved with Anchorage’s skate/snow community.  Most places take years to establish that sort of bond with the community, if at all.  He loved what he did and it showed., He meant a lot to a lot of people. There will be a big void in your absence.  I wish I could have made it out there to see it. Rip in peace buddy.

Nolte? on Rad Collector

May 21st, 2010

Thats right!  We are psyched today because our entire line was just featured on rad collector! Proving that everyone enjoys a good beer drinking accessory, our boy Michael Cohen picked the OG solid koozie as his drink protector of the summer.  Personally, I’m holding down the Beverly Hills Nolt, but to each their own.  Muchos Gracias Mike, stay thirsty!
